Do I need to have experience with horses?

No! Sessions are designed to be inclusive and off the horse unless you are booked for Riding for Children with Disabilities.

What does a session look like?

During the first session we ask questions to grasp the history and requirements of our client. From there, we will establish if Wild At Heart Equine Assisted Therapy is a good fit for you. The following sessions then involve horse and nature-based therapy combined with art therapy. This assists the client in understanding their ability to be in touch with how their body feels, thus being able to practice the coping mechanisms we have taught them.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Because the session is paddock based, we recommend water, a hat, sunscreen, and anything that will bring additional comfort during the session.
